Bounty bars have always been one of my all-time favorite chocolate bars — that sweet coconutty center with the thick dark chocolate coating?? Unreal. I used to eat them a lottt as a kid.
One random afternoon, I thought: wait, what if I just try to make a healthy version at home? Something super simple with minimal ingredients — and somehow… it turned out even better than I expected. When my mom tried one, she immediately told me I have to make them every single week from now on.
They’ve definitely become one of my go-to snacks — whether I need a little sweet fix after a meal (because I’m 100% that person who needs something sweet) or a quick bite before the gym. Honestly obsessed.

Why You’ll Love These
No baking required
Naturally vegan & refined sugar-free
Perfectly meal-preppable — just store in the fridge or freezer
Great as a pre-workout snack or sweet post-lunch treat
Actually taste like a Bounty (but even better tbh)
Prep Time: 10 minutes I 6-8 mini bars
Ingredients
100g coconut flakes
3–4 tbsp full-fat canned coconut milk
1–2 tbsp maple syrup (depending how sweet you like it)
~80g dark chocolate (I like 85% – use sugar-free if needed)
Optional: sea salt flakes on top (trust me, it makes a difference)
Instructions:
In a bowl, mix coconut flakes, coconut milk, and maple syrup until it sticks together — it should hold when pressed, but not be runny.
Press the mixture into a small loaf tin or silicone mold (line with parchment if needed).
Freeze for 30–60 min until firm.
Slice into “Bounty” bars or bite-sized chunks.
Dip each piece in melted dark chocolate.
Drizzle extra chocolate over top and finish with sea salt flakes.
Let them set in the fridge (or freezer if you’re impatient).
Tips & Notes
If your mix feels too dry, add another spoon of coconut milk. If too wet, add a bit more coconut.
Silicone molds make them super easy to shape and pop out.
Let the melted chocolate cool for a few seconds before dipping so it doesn’t melt your bars.
Store in the fridge for up to 5 days or in the freezer for a few weeks (but they never last that long tbh).
Substitutions & Variations
No maple syrup? Use honey or date syrup.
No coconut milk? Try almond or oat cream (just check thickness).
Want more protein? Stir in a scoop of vanilla protein powder or a spoon of nut butter.
